Stamford singer-songwriter Chloe Lorentzen is kicking off her summer of music with the release of her new single, Chains, which she will be performing live at the Bythams Music Festival on Sunday 19th June in Castle Bytham.
Chloe, currently studying for her A-levels at Stamford High School said “I’m so excited for the return of the Bythams Music Festival. It’s always been my favourite music event of the year and it’s so great that it’s returning.”
“Bythams was actually the first festival I ever performed at in 2017. I was only 12 then but this time will be very special, I’ll be playing guitar and piano there for the first time.”

Chains is the eighth release from Chloe’s forthcoming album Love Life & Lies due out on vinyl next year and is accompanied by a music video filmed, like all her others, in and around Stamford.

Chloe added “I taught myself piano during lockdown and Chains was the first song I wrote. I tried to create something that was both elegant and orchestral but at the same time just a bit dramatic. It’s the story of someone who was betrayed and has given up all hope of ever being able to get back what was lost. I wanted the video to reflect the contrast between the gracefulness and the hopelessness that sit side by side in the song.”
It’s Chloe’s first local performance since her sell-out show at Bourne Town Hall back in February. She supported James Walsh from Starsailor during his UK tour last month but is really looking forward to playing in front of the Bythams Music Festival crowd.
“Sunday afternoon is always a fantastic time at the festival, I can’t wait to share some of the songs I’ve written since the last time I played there.”
